Terms of Service

By accessing or using the SiyumCentral platform at www.siyumcentral.com ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

The Platform is owned and operated by Aquafusion CC, a Close Corporation registered in South Africa, trading as SiyumCentral.

SiyumCentral provides a digital platform for organizing Torah learning campaigns, claiming learning units, sponsoring dedications, tracking progress, and facilitating donations to approved Jewish charitable organizations. The Platform is provided on an "as is" basis.

• You must provide accurate information when registering
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be 18 years or older to create an account and make donations
• One account per person — multiple accounts for the same individual are not permitted
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

• Any registered user may create a campaign. You are responsible for the accuracy of the campaign details you set
• Claiming a learning unit ("Daf", "Mishna", "Chapter") is a personal commitment to study that material. Claims are not legally binding
• Campaign organizers must not create campaigns that misrepresent the purpose of the fundraising
• SiyumCentral reserves the right to remove campaigns that are fraudulent, offensive, or violate these Terms
• The "Global 24-Hour Siyum Shas" campaign type is limited to one active instance at a time, administered by the Platform

Important: Payment processing is not yet fully integrated. Donations recorded on the Platform currently represent pledges and no funds are transferred until payment processing is live. You will be notified when real payment processing is active.

• All donations are voluntary. No donation is required to participate in learning campaigns
• A platform fee (currently 3%, subject to change) is deducted from each donation. The remainder goes to the recipient charity
• Donations are made to specific approved charities. SiyumCentral does not hold charitable funds on an ongoing basis
• Donation records are retained for 7 years for compliance purposes
• Tax deductibility depends on the charity's registration in your jurisdiction. SiyumCentral provides tax certificate documents as a convenience but does not guarantee their acceptance by any tax authority
• We do not issue refunds on completed donations except where required by applicable law or where a charity is subsequently found to be fraudulent

• Any signed-in user may create a sponsorship program for an active campaign
• Sponsorship program creators are responsible for the accuracy of their program descriptions and suggested amounts
• Pledges made under sponsorship programs are subject to the same donation terms above
• SiyumCentral does not guarantee that sponsorship pledges will be fulfilled or that learning associated with a sponsorship will be completed by any particular person

• Charities must apply and be approved by SiyumCentral before being listed on the Platform
• Approval does not constitute endorsement. We conduct reasonable due diligence but cannot guarantee the activities of listed organizations
• Charities are responsible for the accuracy of their registration numbers and tax details submitted to the Platform
• We reserve the right to remove any charity from the Platform at any time

SiyumCentral charges a percentage fee on donations and sponsorship pledges processed through the Platform. The current global rate is 3% and is displayed transparently at the time of donation. Individual campaigns may have different rates. The fee funds the operation, hosting, and development of the Platform.

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for fraudulent fundraising or misrepresentation
• Create campaigns or sponsorships for organizations that are not legitimate charities
• Claim learning units with no intention of completing them, to the detriment of other participants
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Platform
• Post content that is offensive, defamatory, or violates applicable law
• Impersonate another person or organization
• Use automated bots to interact with the Platform

All Platform code, design, branding, and content created by SiyumCentral is owned by Aquafusion CC. Torah texts, Talmudic content, and Jewish liturgical material referenced on the Platform are in the public domain.

By submitting content to the Platform (dedications, messages, program descriptions), you grant SiyumCentral a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the Platform.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Aquafusion CC does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular campaign outcome will be achieved. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Aquafusion CC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including loss of donations, loss of data, or inability to access the Platform. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed ZAR 1,000 (South African Rand one thousand).

You agree to indemnify and hold Aquafusion CC, its members, officers, and agents harmless from any claim or demand arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Platform.

The Platform integrates with third-party services including Google (authentication), Vercel (hosting), and StackCP (database). Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms. SiyumCentral is not responsible for the terms or practices of third-party services.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts. If you are located in another jurisdiction, local mandatory consumer protection laws may also apply.

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at the email below.
